KHADAVER is an cyber metal band Slovakia, formed in 2006 by guitarist and composer Nihil Nix. Their sound combines heavy, groove-driven riffs with electronic elements and a cold dystopian atmosphere. The lyrics deal with futurism, technology, corporate power, individualism, surveillance and the darker side of human nature.

The band’s first demo Beta Version came out in 2008 and received the TOP DEMO award from Dutch webzine Alternate Zone. A second demo GOD-RW followed in 2010. In August 2012, KHADAVER released their debut album New World Disorder which earned positive reviews at home and abroad. The video for the title track helped bring the band to a wider audience and in 2013 they supported thrash metal legends KREATOR at their Slovak show.

KHADAVER competed in Wacken Metal Battle Slovakia in 2013 and 2014, finishing fifth in the 2014 final. Their second album Exstinctio Mundi was released in November 2015. Despite positive reviews, difficulties with the lineup and finding regular opportunities to play eventually led to the band going inactive in 2016.

In 2021, Nihil Nix brought KHADAVER back as a solo project. The band’s 15th anniversary was marked by DMZ: Demos & Rarities – a collection of early recordings and previously unreleased material, followed by the single Re:Animate in December.

KHADAVER returned to the stage in 2024 with vocalist Arion Mars, bassist Attar IX and drummer Sineon Nighthorn joining the line-up. New music followed with singles Cypherfiend and High-Tech Genocide, the latter accompanied by a music video. The band played numerous shows in 2025, including appearances at well-known Slovak open air festivals Rock Pod Kameňom and Dobrý Festival.

In June 2026, after Attar IX’s departure, Madness joined on bass. The band is celebrating 20 years since its formation with XAOSBLACK, its third full-length album.

KHADAVER continues to do what it has always done: combine heavy riffs and electronics with a bleak view of a world increasingly shaped by technology, corporate interests and human disposability.
